Exercise 44

Tôny is making plans for Saturday with Lûk, another teacher in the school. What are they saying?

Lûk:

Won’t you and Crysten be spending time together on Saturday?

Tôny:

No. Crysten will be going to Newquay. To surf with three other accountants.

Lûk:

Four accountants on one beach? A very merry day!

Tôny:

Oh, we teachers aren’t a bundle of laughs either.

Lûk:

You’re right … But here’s an idea. The forecast for Saturday is fine weather. So we’ll go to Portreath, you and me, for a laid back day for lazy lads. A bit of sunbathing. A bit of swimming. A bit of drinking cool beer. Mingling with the tourists.

Tôny:

Quite an easy day. Yes, it’s a good idea. Better than hanging about in Camborne.

Lûk:

Well, not everything’s easy. It’ll be difficult to park the car close to the beach if we don’t go early.

Tôny:

Breakfast by the sea then. But coffee with it please. Beer later.

Lûk:

Definitely coffee for an early hour. And doughnuts – why not?
